Lyric Ave will serve as an avenue by which artists, entrepreneurs, visionaries, and innovators will be able to grow and promote their talent locally, nationally, and internationally through media partnerships and business sponsorships.

The mission of Lyric Ave is to grow the beautiful art forms of poetry, music and comedy through quality entertainment that inspires all.

The Values
Lyric Ave is a strong, spiritual and family based organization that encourages members to trust, strengthen, and believe in one another.  We are professional and use integrity in everything we do.

The Goals
Lyric Ave is a goal oriented organization that realizes the need of setting goals and associated timelines and tasks to reach each desired goal.  Lyric Ave’s primary goal is to have the show nationally broadcasted by a major network.  Organizational goals are set annually at the Lyric Ave retreat and discussed by all members as it relates to the best way to accomplish them. 

The Show
A combination of the shows “Def Poetry,” “In Living Color” and “Showtime at the Apollo, Lyric Ave blends spoken word poetry, music, skits and stand-up comedy into one of the best live shows you’ll ever see. Not shying away from issues of race, religion, politics and natural disaster has empowered this troupe of performers to express what is on the minds of many.  And, while these artists are opening dialogues that need to happen, they offer their unique views of things, injecting comedy, music and poetry into the multicultural mix to give an honest picture of life as an American in 2007. Today, Lyric Ave’s cast is almost 20 strong, and welcomes nationally-known featured performers as part of their shows.
